Xbox Live has continued to grow past the 10 million mark to lead the industry as the example for a dedicated multiplayer game platform. As we grow we need to continue to innovate and take on the challenges that this size of service demands and move multiplayer gaming to the next step.
The Xbox Service Team is looking for an exceptional program manager to help design and deliver services that will make Xbox Live the premier multiplayer gaming and digital entertainment destination. You will work on functional & technical product design across a wide set of service areas while helping to drive decision around the Xbox platform. You will create detailed specifications, and work closely with design, development and test teams to drive execution of these features. You will interface with partners in the Xbox division from games for windows, game developers and the Xbox platform team to gather requirements, shape scenarios and deliver features that will bring multiplayer gaming to the next level across our platforms. This is a critical role that will have a large impact across the Xbox and game division as a whole.
The ideal candidate would meet the following requirements:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Program Manager in building and shipping consumer facing products across multiple product cycles
- Great problem solving skills and high intellectual horsepower
- Strong passion for gaming and entertainment
- Excellent written and verbal communication and cross group collaboration skills
- Practical knowledge of video/game/music technologies and e-commerce
- Background in service development
- A BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering and/or equivalent industry experience is preferred
