We are looking for an experienced Program Manager who is thoroughly familiar with shipping from start to finish. You will help drive multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, keep hundreds of people moving forward, and shape the processes that make it all happen in an efficient manner. This job will put you in the middle of the many projects that the eHome project management team works on.
As an eHome project management PM, your responsibilities include:
- Owning project schedules and processes
- Helping shape the vision for a set of tools and processes to help eHome become a more efficient shipping machine.
- Working with Media Center feature teams as well as with teams across Windows and E&D to orchestrate good relationships, communications, and productivity.
- Leading day-to-day operations to ensure that the eHome division is successful in shipping multiple projects at one time including: maintaining project schedules, developing and managing bugs and bug trends based on historical data and statistical analysis, ensuring consistent and complete communication across multiple teams within and outside of eHome.
Successful candidates will possess strong organizational skills with excellent written and oral communications. The candidate must also be a strong team player that enjoys working under tight time constraints in concert with the rest of the project management team. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience managing project schedules and processes, work well independently and on a team, and have a thorough understanding of the product development process at Microsoft. A minimum of 5 years shipping experience is required. An understanding of Sharepoint, Infopath and Product Studio is ideal. Knowledge of SQL and Web development is desirable.
