A world renowned game development studio is looking for a highly talented artist to join the team on a brand new creative IP that has begun development.
This team is backed by one of the biggest names in the games industry and the studio has always been committed to innovation and gameplay advancements ever since their inception. This title will be no different.
As a concept artist you will be working with a highly talented and motivated team to create a number of distinct, colourful and highly detailed concepts that relate to characters, clothing and item inventory for this particular title. You will be expected to be able to provide and take artistic direction and work with this as expected to provide the very best results for the project, ensuring your pieces highlight, look, feel, scale and colour for the 3D Artists to follow correctly.
The look and feel will relate to the real world, although in a highly fantastical fashion.
· Excellent general illustrative skills with the ability to visualise objects is a must-have skill.
· Will be required to provide “mood” pieces as well as schematic work for production artists to interpret. · Experience of fashion or costume design would be useful. Perhaps for stage, TV or cinema.
· The ideal candidate will have experience at the softer end of the scale i.e. people, children, animals, cartoons, family movie, youth book illustration as this fits the style of the product.
· The role is helping to develop an idealized environment and possibly some costumes. · Game development experience is not a requirement but experience of working with an art director on a complex project and visually communicating ideas to a broader team would be beneficial. · Computer graphic experience not essential but Familiarity with Photoshop or similar 2d visualising tool would be an advantage.
