McGraw-Hill Professional a division of McGraw-Hill Education has an entrepreneurial opportunity, for a dynamic Vice President/Director, leading our innovative and results driven Special Markets Team. In this strategic role you will set the direction for publishing programs as it relates to the Special Markets which McGraw-Hill Professional serves.
The primary responsibilities of this position are
Direct, manage and motivate staff and establish organizational structure to maximize opportunities for sales, for McGraw-Hill Professional in all Special Markets and CIG markets. Hire, train and motivate staff to achieve increasing sales goals.
Establish a clearly defined strategy that targets and sets priorities for this department and that specifically targets the most promising opportunities for rapid revenue growth and increased profitability.
Provide immediate direction for core McGraw-Hill Professional operations in Special markets.
Establish senior-level relationships with key customers in all markets and channels in order to enhance and expand current sales activity.
Work closely with publishing units to maximize sales of their existing products as well as to fashion new products and spin-offs for our current and future customers. Play key role in developing publishing strategy for the group.
Serve as the lead sales and marketing executive in-group efforts to further penetrate the premium market.
Create marketing programs for all Special Market customers.
Manage the sales of remainder products for McGraw-Hill Professional. Continuously analyze and increase profit of remainder product.
Manage financial aspects of your department.
Travel extensively to key accounts.
Manage the subsidiary rights for MHP
New account development ? focus on under-developed non-traditional business (specialty and premium)
Knowledge & Experience
5-7 years inside sales experience and 10 year sales experience overall
3-5 years corporate and government Sales Experience
At least 8 years successfully leading a sales team.
Bachelor's degree
Experience with (ERP) sales tracking systems.
Experience in special sales markets (in the publishing industry) a major plus
