Advent Software, Inc., the leading provider of enterprise investment management solutions, is seeking an experienced and talented software quality assurance engineer at Advent's San Francisco headquarters. Join a talented and hardworking QA team to step in and build on the existing software test framework for Advent Portfolio Exchange, Advent's market leading portfolio management application for investment management professionals.
Job Responsibilities
Work closely with the development project team on all aspects of the product.
Log, track, and follow through on all software bugs.
Develop test plans, test cases and automated test scripts using SilkTest from Segue Software.
Proactively resolve problems and communicating QA issues to the rest of the project team.
Qualifications Requirements
Strong understanding of QA methodology is required.
Experience with accounting or finance application development is preferred.
Some testing experience for web-based applications is highly preferred.
Extensive experience with SilkTest from Segue Software is highly prefered.
Experience with SilkPerformer is preferred.
Some programming experience in JAVA, C# or VB is preferred.
Detailed working knowledge of Windows operating systems (NT, 2000, XP) is required.
Experience with client/server applications and relational database technology is a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
