This position is responsible for ensuring that all federal, state, local and unemployment returns are filed timely and accurately. Responsibilities also include caselog resolution, responding to tax notices, keeping abreast of new legislation, compliance with Sarbanes Oxley as well as internal audit requirements. Additional responsibilities include contributing to large projects throughout the year such as year-end processing, conversions, system updates and mergers/acquisitions.
Must be detail oriented, well organized with strong analytical, communication and customer service skills. Must have general knowledge of accounting policies and procedures related to payroll tax. Candidate should have 3 to 5 years payroll/payroll tax experience including pay processing methods, tax reporting responsibilities and general accounting practices. Bachelor's degree and CPP certification required.
