We are looking for a strong, enthusiastic Software Design Engineer in Test who can make an impact on a major Microsoft initiative.
As an SDET you and your team will help identify and define the test strategy for new feature(s) in the next version of Windows Mobile. Primary responsibilities:
Test design/Automation/Execution and effective bug management.
Driving testability and customer focus into product specifications and designs.
Creating, reviewing and executing high quality test plans (unit, integration and end-to-end)
Designing new and leveraging existing test automation infrastructure
Drive engineering improvements across feature teams.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of shipping high quality software multiple times and a strong desire to join and influence a sustainable, high performance test culture.
Experience with enhancing existing automation systems and utilizing the testing best practices is desired.
Strong knowledge of C/C++, C#, debugging/troubleshooting are required. Three years of related experience and a BA/BS in Computer Science or related technical discipline are required. Knowledge of client/server architecture and protocols and of Compact Framework and Windows CE programming are a big plus.
You will report to a Test Lead in Windows Mobile Services and will have the opportunity to make a critical impact on important new features supporting a key Microsoft initiative. This position also gives you an opportunity to work with the latest state of the art hardware such as Smartphones and Pocket PC Phones.
