Position Description
These are great opportunities in the Saint Louis, Missouri area to work on a wide variety of Boeing Defense and Space programs. Leads development, integration and documentation of structural requirements to establish the system design. Coordinates with other engineering groups to establish the product?s environment. Guides product design and verifies structural integrity by using and developing analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance. Leads development of test plans and configurations, supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications. Defines and documents certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied. Supports in-service products by leading investigations into failures and analyzing improvements. Develops analytical processes/tools to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort. Works under minimal direction. Applies modern computer aided analysis techniques and classical analysis techniques to ensure structural integrity and vehicle performance.

Education and/or Experience
Requires educational credentials meeting the Boeing classification standards for engineers and typically 9 to 13 years' experience in an engineering classification or educational credentials meeting the Boeing classification standards for engineers and either a Master's degree with 7 to 11 years' experience or a PhD degree with 4 to 8 years' experience in an engineering classification.
Other Job related information
ABET Engineering degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical/Aerospace/Astronautical or Civil preferred. US Person status required. This is a general requisition that supports staffing requirements for several programs in the Saint Louis area and actual positions may be in Saint Louis or Saint Charles. Successful candidates will become part of the Boeing Mechanical/Structural Engineering team. An ability to obtain an interim and/or final clearance (post-start) is required for this position.
