Description :
Serve as a key support resource for the merchandising group through rigorous analysis of key business metrics and production of decision-support tools. This position will focus on providing analysis and recommendations to drive incremental business opportunities, improve inventory turn and maximize profit. This position will also require partnering with IT to research, implement, and test processes and methodology improvement strategies to support the business unit enterprise wide. Hands-on technical ability will be required to satisfy this aspect of the position.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Analyze historical performance and apply insight and learning’s to future business
Work with cross-functional partners to evaluate and maximize grid opportunities
Partner with merchandising and help to identify risks, opportunities and challenges
Participate in the seasonal merchandise planning process
Develop comprehensive understanding of the key business processes, drivers and metrics for the electronic retailing model
Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure consistency of information, share best practices and develop knowledge of all relevant systems
Participate in the development of standard periodic, actionable reporting
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with cross functional teams
Develop analysis for Senior Management
Accountable for producing timely & accurate reports (both ad hoc & system generated) for all levels of management
Development, maintenance, & documenting of Business Objects reporting
Trouble shoot data integrity between data systems
Produce & distribute monthly pack forecasting for Finance Planning & Sales & Service
Training of Business Objects Web users
Attend meetings & translate business needs into actual on-line report analysis
Convert/automate reports from existing format to Business Objects
BS/BA required
3-5 years experience financial merchandise planning in a retail environment
Intermediate level in Excel, Word, Outlook
Demonstrates analytical skills with innovative problem solving ability
Ability to think strategically whilst managing at a detail level
Self-motivated, flexible and adaptive to shifting priorities
Able to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
Demonstrates strong listening, written and oral skills
Able to formally present business strategies and action plans

Retail Experience
Demonstrated knowledge of databases and SQL
