* Execute, with guidance from senior engineering resources, the analysis, design, test and/or integration required to define and support assigned components, assemblies or systems that meet business standards and program/product requirements.
* Prepare and present technical data to internal and external customers.
* Document and communicate results of technical data generated.
* Participate on teams assigned to address specific organizational initiatives.
* Share information and promote open dialogue.
* Prepare invention disclosures to protect the technology that provides a competitive advantage to the business.
Qualifications
* Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science.
Desired
* Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in writing or orally.
* Effective interpersonal skills that enable a learning approach to problem resolution.
* Computer proficiency and, familiarity with design, test and analysis tools.
* Demonstrated analysis and problem resolution skills.
* Prior experience in any of the following areas:
* Structures/Rotating Parts/Compressor and Turbine Airfoils.
* Mechanical design, stress analysis, vibration, life analysis, producibility engineering, turbo-machinery design, investment casting, composites, component design, acoustics.
* Combustion/Configurations/Nacelles/Manufacturing Technologies.
* Mechanical design, stress analysis, combustion aero/ emissions design, thermal design, manufacturing processes & support, sustaining engineering, manufacturing support, non-conventional machining process development, cutting tool design, nondestructive test systems.
* Advanced Materials and Processes.
* High temperature structural materials, advanced polymer matrix composites, ceramic matrix composites, titanium, superalloy, modeling and simulation of materials and processes.
* Fuel/Electrical/Control Systems
General
Additional Qualifications:
* BS/MS degrees in ME, AE, Systems, Materials Science and Engineering or equivalent experience.
* Applicable engineering experience in the aviation/gas turbine industry via internship or co-op assignments.
* Strong leadership and communication skills.
* Technical tools, i.e. CFD, statistical methods and analysis, UG, ANSYS, PATRAN, Microsoft Office, Simulink, ADA, ARINC, C, C++, Fortran.
