*Develops practical and innovative ways to identify and meet goals. Is responsible for work that is less defined in scope and has the understanding and experience to execute business objectives. This role has the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.
*Executes the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product/program requirements.
*Provides technical leadership to personnel supporting the assigned project.
*Documents technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
*Provides timely communications on significant issues or developments.
*Participate on teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and generic issues.
*Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews.
*Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
* Perform calculations to assist clients in permitting, dispersion modeling, or to assess risks to the business with minimal assistance from senior engineers.
*Plant start-up and commissioning.
*Conduct Systems Modeling and development of Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle Air, Water, and Wastewater modeling.
*Review emissions to Evaluate and Optimize Sub System Technology Developments at the Plant Level.
*Utilize Statistical Methods for Robust Process Optimization with guidance from a senior engineer.
*Size process equipment and prepare design specifications.
*Assist in preparation of PFDs, P&IDs, equipment data sheets, and Tollgate reviews for Chief Engineer Approvals.

Qualifications
*Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science.
*Minimum 3 additional years of experience in an engineering position.

*Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems.

*Environmental Engineering background.
*Experience with Gasification Process and/or Gas Turbine Performance/Technology.
*Stormwater and NPDES permitting.
*Experience in Air Quality engineering regulations in a consulting, industrial/commercial, or agency setting, including NSR permitting (PSD and non-attainment), technology reviews, emissions inventory and Title V permitting, and regulatory compliance evaluations.
*Knowledge of emerging air quality regulatory programs.
* Experience in emission estimates for various fuel types and technologies (boilers, combustion turbines, diesel engines, etc.).
*Six Sigma Greenbelt/Blackbelt Certification (GE Internal).
