* Responsible for defined work or projects with moderate complexity. Follows an individual work plan and meets day-to-day short-term objectives. Has the ability to resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.

* Execute, with guidance from senior engineering resources, the analysis, design, test, or integration required to define and support assigned components, assemblies or systems that meet business standards and program/product requirements.

* Prepare and present technical data to internal and external customers.

* Document and communicate results of technical data generated.

* Participate on teams assigned to address specific organizational initiatives.

* Share information and promote open dialogue.

* Prepare invention disclosures to protect the technology that provides a competitive advantage to the business.

* Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures.

* Perform calculations to assist clients in permitting, dispersion modeling, or to assess risks to the business.

* Develop water treatment solutions for an integrated process or IGCC plant.

* Review emissions to Evaluate and Optimize Sub System Technology Developments at the Plant Level.

* Utilize Statistical Methods for Robust Process Optimization with guidance from a senior engineer.

* Assist in preparation of PFDs, P&IDs, equipment data sheets, and Toll-gate reviews for Chief Engineer Approvals.

Qualifications

* Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science

Additional Requirements:

Desired

* Familiarity with air and water treatment, permitting, CFR regulations, equipment design, test and analysis tools and systems.

* Strong oral and written communication skills.

* Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

* PC proficiency.

* Experience with Gasification Process and/or Gas Turbine Performance/Technology.

* Stormwater and NPDES permitting.

* Plant Commissioning & Startup.

* Experience in Air Quality engineering regulations in a consulting, industrial/commercial, or agency setting, including NSR permitting (PSD and non-attainment), technology reviews, emissions inventory and Title V permitting, and regulatory compliance evaluations.

* Knowledge of emerging air quality regulatory programs.

* Experience in emission estimates for various fuel types and technologies (boilers, combustion turbines, diesel engines, etc.).

* Six Sigma Greenbelt/Blackbelt Certification (GE Internal)
