External Job Description JOB SUMMARY:
As an IT Sr. Project Manager, this position involves leadership in business system analysis and execution of local and global system implementations. The role requires involvement with business customers, other technical IT teams, outside vendors and senior management.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities of this position include project management, analysis, design, and implementation of project based initiatives. This involves development of detailed estimates and schedules for projects including resource allocation, timelines, and budget; facilitation of requirements gathering with business teams to clarify requirements and objectives; coordination of the development of the detailed design specifications for use by the technical team; coordination with Compliance Management to develop system test plans and ensure that software quality assurance (SQA) standards are achieved; maintenance of the project work plan and project schedule; and standard project management duties including budget tracking, conducting status meetings, developing status reports, tracking issues and assisting with change control.
Skills/Experience Education/Certification KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
* Broad knowledge of Quality, Regulatory and R&D business functions and organizations is desired.
* Some Technical experience and broad understanding of Quality, Regulatory and R&D systems is desired.
* Some Technical experience with Regulatory Authoring and Publishing systems is desired.
* Interpersonal skills to manage communications with IT and Business staff and their management who are working under tight deadlines and considerable pressure.
* Previous experience within multiple large scale software or product development projects, working with internal and external partners.
* Must be knowledgeable of the SDLC methodology.
* Experience in a validated environment is required.
* Ability to successfully manage multiple projects and priorities.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
A Bachelors degree is required. A minimum of 5 years of experience and responsibilities within large projects, with a minimum of 7 years overall IT experience.
