Microsoft is seeking an Associate Producer to help create the next generation of digital entertainment. Building on the customer excitement and enthusiasm for our Xbox brand, the Xbox LIVE Services group is reshaping the way people engage with Xbox LIVE. As Associate Producer, you'll play a key role in maintaining programming schedules and content management of video, podcasts, and entertainment content on Inside Xbox and Xbox LIVE. You'll work closely with internal and external content partners and with Xbox LIVE Marketing to help them translate objectives into smart execution, building and delivering responsive audience segments on Xbox LIVE through a clever mix of programming and editorial packaging. You will also work closely with the Xbox LIVE Programming team to help define the evolving Xbox LIVE programming experience.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate programming schedules and asset deliveries from internal and external partners
Use content management system to produce new content
Work closely with editorial and community teams to develop new content
Write and edit short articles
Identify new content opportunities
Maintain production and archival processes
Enforce quality control
Skills and Experience:
At least 2 years of web/new media producing experience at major media or publishing company
Excellent editorial judgment
Ability to manage multiple projects in a schedule-driven, fast-paced environment
Experience and knowledge of content management technology, design and production
Basic Photoshop and HTML knowledge
Proven ability to write/edit short articles
A team player with strong interpersonal and management skills
Passion for entertainment and new media technologies
Highly organized, self-motivated, and resourceful
Degree in journalism, communications, broadcasting or related discipline strongly preferred
