Position Summary: Provides design, implementation and ongoing support of our ERP Applications, Databases and Business Intelligence environments.
Position Responsibilities:
Proficient in one or more of Business Intelligence tools, trends and other reporting toolsets; Crystal Reports, Cognos, Business Objects, Microsoft tools.
Guarantees the performance integrity and quality of databases.
Establishes physical database parameters where required.
Implements Application upgrades as necessary.
Calculates system capacity and optimum database parameters for existing requirements and future needs.
Designs logical and physical databases or reviews description of changes to database design to understand how changes to be made affect physical database
Specifies which users can access application/databases and what data can be accessed by user.
Tests, corrects errors, and refines changes to application/database and any related automated scripts
Trains users and answers user questions.
Confers with co-workers to determine impact of database changes on other systems and staff cost for making changes to database.
Ability to create and work with OLAP data cubes
Performs Database performance tuning.
Performs Database Queries, builds DTS packages and Reports as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills and Experience:
4-6 years relevant experience
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems preferred
Comprehensive experience with database systems and related software
Experience working with and directing 3rd party (vendor) implementation and support teams
Ability to work with individuals at all levels.
Ability to create complex SQL queries
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
