John Deere Corporate Office is seeking an Technical Lead to provide technical leadership and development for Human Resources systems. In this position, you will:

Provide technical support for many HR Business Analysts who support specific HR business processes.
Facilitate communication among HR Business Analysts and provide instruction and advice in best practices and low cost, high quality business solutions.
Participate in SAP and web architecture planning and implementations.
Participate in the detailed design of HR systems projects of high complexity. Reviews design plans of other analysts.
Participate in the development of technical specifications for projects.
Review tech specs written by other analysts. Some programming may be required but emphasis will be on design, preparing work for programmers (often located in TCI), and doing code and design reviews.
Help to assess the global systems impact of proposed HR business process changes.

Education

Four year degree in an Information Technology discipline or equivalent experience.



Required Skills and Experience

3+ years experience with either Java or ABAP.
Experience designing and developing user interfaces.
Experience coordinating project team members and leveraging their skills to enable successful projects.
Ability to master many different tools quickly often without much formal training.
Ability to be self-learners, creating standards for others to follow but strictly following existing enterprise standards when they do exist.

Desired Skills and Experience

Experience with SAP Enterprise Portal.
Experience with SAP Web Dynpro.
Experience with both Java and ABAP.
Experience in a Data Analyst role.
Experience with HR business processes.
