Position Description
Information Security (INFOSEC) System Engineer works as a part of the Family of Advanced Beyond Line-Of-Sight Terminal (FAB-T) programs in the development of secure satellite terminals for tactical/strategic communication systems used by the military services and the DoD. This position provides technical support, process expertise and oversight as part of the program overall system engineering effort for INFOSEC design and development to include security architecture analysis, security requirements definition and allocation, analysis and definition of security requirements for information protection, identification of system security vulnerabilities, key management and implementation of risk management, information assurance, COMSEC and TRANSEC. Knowledge of the NSA cryptographic certification process to include NSA cryptographic and Information Assurance design requirements and of the DOD Information Assurance Certification & Accreditation Process (DIACAP) are required. Applicant must have a current DoD Secret clearance. Occasional travel will be required to interface with customers and program related meetings, conferences, and briefings.

Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Level 5 - Typically 14 to 19 years' experience in an engineering classification or either a Master's degree with 12 to 17 years' experience or a PhD degree with 9 to 14 years' experience in an engineering classification. CS360223 Knowledge and experience in NSA Cryptographic Certification and the DIACAP are required; knowledge of cryptographic module design, development and certification desired; candidate should be familiar with networking and key management techniques including the Electronic Key Management System (EKMS) and secure networking and should have an understanding of network security principles and practices. Experience with the NSA cryptographic certification process and the DIACAP on DoD program is desired. Familiarity with current versions of programmable cryptographic engines in the market today, knowledge of guards/firewalls/routers, security software design and development, and cross domain solutions a plus. Position requires a self-motivated individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Computer Information System Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification is desired.
