Overview :
The Sales Specialist is responsible for promoting and selling assigned products to targeted physicians and customers within a designated geographic region.
Responsibilities :
Promote and sell assigned products to current and potential customers
Provide technical product information and procedure expertise to physicians
Initiate focused programs and services to increase sales and market share for specific products
Communicate with customers in a clear and effective manner
Build internal and external relationships; establish credibility and rapport with customers
Organize and schedule tasks, develop realistic goals and action plans
Deal with unresolved situations, frequent changes, delays or unexpected events
Possess the ability to travel and work outside of the parameters of 8am to 5pm when required; depending on territory assignment, expect a minimum of 4 overnight stays per month
Comply with all required reports and requests for information
Effectively manage company property and resources to include, but not limited to, expense management, computer and other allocated equipment
Qualifications :
* BA/BS in marketing, sales, business administration or a related field is required
* 2-4 years successful direct and/or outside sales experience
* Medical and/or pharmaceutical sales experience is highly desired and will be given first consideration
* Medical Device of Injectible experience preferred.
* Strong consultative selling skills and proven capability to close sales
* High personal motivation
* Business acumen - must be able to help identify opportunities within the assigned territory
* Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
* Effective contract and negotiating skills
* Strong sense of urgency and demonstrated success in a high pressure sales role
* Customer service orientation
* Ability to travel
* Must possess valid driver's license and the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle
* Computer proficiency
