Posted: Apr 07, 2008 Responsibilities

-Provide strategic leadership for all GE Transportation health programs with regards to health care plans, disability (including personal and workers compensation), drug free work place, on-site medical, on-site fitness center and prevention/wellness programs.

-Drive programs with focus on controlling health care costs, improving health and productivity of employees, employee satisfaction, quality of health care and assuring compliance.

-Establish and continually assure comprehensive and accurate data acquisition and analysis to identify trend drivers.

-Develop and implement effective initiatives to control these trends.

-Interact with GE Transportation, GE Infrastructure and GE Corporate leaders as key interface for GE Transportation Health Care. Support corporate synergy initiatives with GE Healthcare business.

-Create and communicate business health care strategy to management and employees.

-Ensure coordination and support across all business components including, but not limited to, Human Resources, Benefits, Medical, Employee communications, Business Development (acquisitions and divestitures), Workers Compensation, Union Relations, Environmental Health & Safety, Operating Management.

-Coordinate with GE Infrastructure and GE Corporate on health care related issues and projects, including participation and/or leadership on company wide teams.

-Oversee GE role in visible and/or strategic health care issues at the local and state level.
Qualifications

-Bachelors degree in business, finance, or a healthcare related field from an accredited university or college.

Desired

-Masters degree in health care related field

-Health Care administration/medical background

-Demonstrated project management and quality improvement ability

-Prior experience/expertise in performing financial/root cause analysis

-Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt certification

-Strong oral and written communication skills

-Strong interpersonal and leadership skills including managing direct reports

-Ability to successfully interact with all levels of an organization

-Demonstrated facilitation skills

-Experience successfully operating in a matrix organization
