Job Description QUALIFICATIONS :
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
* At least 5 additional years of experience in a financial position.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Essential Functions / Responsibilities:
Demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. Integrates and develops processes that meet business needs across the organization. Involved in long-term planning. This role contributes to the overall strategy and manages complex issues within functional areas area of expertise.
* Serves as a business partner to the operating team to drive business initiatives, growth, and profitability.
* Partner with technical/business leaders and staff to drive operating performance and act as champion for cost optimization and productivity.
* Develop estimates, operating plans/forecasts/reviews/reports (GAAP), Growth Playbook (3-year plan) and SII (1-year plan).
* Develop and establish financial policies& procedures.
* Perform internal/external audit.
* Ensure controllership and consistency of accounting process across the operations, drive controllership awareness and processes through operations teams and ensures finance compliance.
* Ensure compliance with all laws related to IP sharing across the operations.
* Maximize tax benefits by managing all licensing and R&D funding activities.
* Develop IP valuations as part of business development and tax planning activities.

GENERAL :
GE Energy's Global Technology Company (GTC) is a $300+ MM operating entity that is responsible for all aspects of Intellectual Property (IP) management for the GE Energy (GEE) business group; including licensing IP to external and internal customers, funding all Energy Research & Development, IP Valuations, and all IP related financial analysis, planning and reporting for the GEE business group.
The GTC is expected to grow by over 200% over the next several years driven largely by a new Services IP royalty structure that is being implemented around the world.
