Job Description QUALIFICATIONS :
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
* At least 5+ additional years of experience in a financial position.

RESPONSIBILITIES :
* Demonstrates accountability for functional, business, & broad company objectives.
* Integrates & develops processes that meet business needs across the organization.
* Involved in LT planning. Role contributes to the overall strategy & manages complex issues within area of expertise.
* Responsible for controls, monitoring, analysis & reporting on all financial aspects of multi contract, licensing & Extended scope Project business with annual sales of $100-900MM/year.
* Leads Gasification Finance in developing & implementing changes to the Project Accounting System (ERP project), GE Pre-Close activities, & Quarterly Representation Letter Preparation.
* Ensure compliant development & update of balances in GL Chart of accounts. Prepare compliant, timely & accurate Financial statements in accordance with GEGAP, GAAP, & current accounting literature as communicated by the GE Accounting Organization, including the PG Controller.
* Responsible for Gasification IGCC project financial support.
* Develop, support & execute project financial reporting requirements including preparation of qtly balance sheet & ops estimates & total project EACs.
* Support project financial controls & routines including cost monitoring & analysis, rev rec, tax compliance, & site controllership, as required by the Project Finance Managers.
* Work closely with Gasification & PG finance teams to support project reviews & monitor project status.
* Execute duties as assigned by the GE Energy Controller or PG Controller to include (not limited to): Controllership special projects, Sarbanes-Oxley follow-ups, Revenue recognition studies, OFA/Oracle reporting structure changes, Tracking of acct recon activities, tracking & control over outstanding site bank accts & outstanding Surety Instruments (LC's, SBLOC's, Bonds, Parent Guarantees).
* Track P&E & prepare Appropriation requests.
DESIRED :
* Certified Public Accountant or Master's of Business Administration is preferred.
* Ability to anticipate, identify, and resolve complex financial issues.

* Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
* PC proficiency.
