SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

Location: Calabasas, California
Responsibilities:
Senior Accountant position at the corporate headquarters of a $180M network test equipment manufacturer. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, responsibilities include:
Maintain a variety of general ledger accounts which includes preparation of reconciliations and account analysis and preparation and posting of journal entries.
Responsible for recording and tracking payroll and related accruals, accounts receivables, cash and investments, analyzing monthly variances and assisting with other tasks as assigned.
Preparation of work papers to support balance sheet and P&L account balances.
Assist with monthly financial closings and generate, review analyze financial statements.
Backup for the Accounting Manager
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting with 5-8 years of experience and solid knowledge of US GAAP.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Experience using Oracle Financial software
Excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail and enjoy working in a fast-paced, high tech environment
Desirable:
Not required, but a plus: designation as CPA.
Strong database skills
