The QA Technician is responsible for laboratory duties in support of the Home Hardlines-Home Fashions divisions of Quality Assurance. This includes the coordination and monitoring of sample flow, thorough testing and reporting of data to QA Product Evaluators and QA Director
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Validation of product specification details and documentation provided by vendor partners
Work closely with the QA Evaluators in the coordination of product evaluations.
Photograph, measure and assemble samples according to manufacturer’s instructions to assess product performance and accuracy of information.
Perform package drop testing of submitted samples.
Ensure accurate and detailed documentation of QA evaluation reports and disposition product status in a timely manner.
Record accurate results and report the data to QA Evaluators, Sr. Manager and Director.
Ensure consistent and expeditious flow of goods through the Hardlines-Home Fashions QA laboratory.
Assist with the shipping of items as needed to Fulfillment QA, 3rd party laboratories, vendors, etc.
Perform various tasks related to QA sample distribution and filing/clerical duties to support the department as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
Current Resume
HSN diploma or equivalent
2-4 years of related work experience (preferred background is in quality or retail).
Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook, and the Internet.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Experience in Home Hardlines or Home Fashions is desired.
Strong organizational skills
Ability to effectively and professionally communicate oral and written information, using tact and diplomacy as appropriate.
Ability to establish priorities in order to consistently meet deadlines and achieve desired results.
Ability to perform detailed assignments in a professional manner, including necessary follow-through.
Ability to exercise good judgment and sound common sense.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to carry, push or pull items (up to 50 lbs) unaided
