John Deere Dubuque Works is seeking a Technical Support Supervisor to manage a group of technical authors through the development, delivery, and maintenance of service information. In this position, you will:
Be responsible for management and maturity of the publications project management office, direct supervision and development of project managers charged with delivering product development publications on time and on budget.
Assess existing processes and tools to further develop reduced cost in publications creation and delivery.
Investigate and implement improvements to service information authoring, translations, and electronic and print publications.
May provide design and business priority guidance for service information-related Information Technology (IT) solution development.
Education
Degree in business, finance, engineering, sales or marketing or equivalent experience.
Required Skills and Experiences
Project management experience; project management certification desired.
Familiarity with one or more of the following systems: mechanical, hydraulic, electrical.
Understanding of specification systems and decision release systems.
Knowledge of Product Delivery Process programs.
Understanding and improvement of business quality and processes.
Effective writing skills, including grammatical usage, persuasive copy and style.
Willingness to travel, up to 25%.
Desired Skills and Experiences
Experience working with or capacity to learn advanced technical tools in machine diagnostics.
Field experience with regular customer contact and knowledge of dealer/distribution networks, products, parts and services.
Factory experience with regular interfacing with design, engineering, and manufacturing.
