Become the virtual "CFO" for the critically important Americas region for Entertainment & Devices Division. This is a $3B business poised to grow significantly over the next 3 years as the E&D expands the Xbox 360 market, drives continued growth in the consumer hardware and software and expands into new markets. As the America's Retail Director you will manage an expert team of finance professionals to deliver the following:
o Strategic Planning (sets and shares a vision driving/influencing business growth)
o Drive profit growth through new market & channel recommendations
o Facilitate & support new products as they are defined and come to market
o People Management and Development (recruit, develop and retain top talent)
o Business Operation (streamlined processes, CFI and statutory compliance)
o Governance and Control. (enforce standards of business conduct and internal controls)
Strategic Planning: Work with the GM & regional leadership tem to develop and drive a business strategy aiming at maximizing top and bottom line business. Hard targets (Revenue, Head Count, Net Marketing and Responsibility Margin) shared ownership with the Regional VP.
Drive profit growth through new market & new channel recommendations: Drive the market & channel evaluation process and entry strategy for Xbox 360 & SDA in Emerging Markets.
Facilitate regional design priorities & support new products: Ensure regional product requirements are prioritized based on business impact. Work with new product teams as they bring their products to market.
People Management and Development: Recruit, develop, retain and rotate top talent. Owner of the organizational blue print, short, medium and long term career planning and development plans for all people in his/her organization. Identify key people in his/her organization to assume high level management responsibilities and be an advocate for them on advancement opportunities. OHI owner for the regional E&D Finance team.
Business Operation (ROB): Work with the Regional VP, Marketing, Sales and Operations GM's to ensure the systematic execution of streamlined processes to run the business, enforcing accurate financial transactions and records in full compliance to MAP. Drive monthly Rhythm of the Business meetings. Monitor revenue results, OPEX and overall key financial and business indicators. Liaise with SMSG revenue analysts to ensure the supply of quality data and information to all internal customers. Continually review the business through periodical scorecards and analysis to assist management decision making and improve understanding of issues. Benchmark to drive best practice adoption. Drive and support accurate forecasting, and closing & controls processes.
Financial Compliance & Control: Fully enforce company policies and guidelines across all groups. Encourage and secure full compliance to Microsoft's business codes of conduct. See that proper internal controls are in place safekeeping company assets and that measurement and tracking is systematically executed in this regard. See that all statutory requirements are accurately and timely met, keeping books and company transactions in full compliance.
This role requires Leadership, Executive Maturity, Market Analysis and Business Skills, Cross Functional and Cross MSFT Collaboration, and Communication.
Candidates must have a passion for doing business and driving results in the Americas and a proven track record for coordinating international initiatives and processes to achieve goals Financial controllership & analysis, business management and modeling skills, market and competitive analysis and ability to see and articulate the big picture to a wide variety of functional senior leaders is critical. The ability to structure partnerships at a senior and strategic level will be valuable in specific markets and situations. Strong organizational agility that provide you the ability to work effectively with teams across the division as well as with customers, external teams, managers, and executives are key to success in this role.
Requirements:

o Demonstrated experience in worldwide finance, business planning and execution. Strong management skills with the proven ability to manage regional teams and cross-functional teams is required.
o Demonstrated success in identifying and working effectively with key stakeholders on complex cross-team situations. Highly effective in building mutually beneficial partnerships and networks.
o Experience in working in multiple organizations with emphasis on communicating and decision making with demonstrated ability to work under pressure. Must be motivated by interdependency.
o Strong management skills and a demonstrated ability to drive the effective implementation of procedures and policies to support operational business requirements across regional and organizational boundaries.
o A demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively (oral and written), establish trust and create win-win situations.
o Eight to Ten years of demonstrated work experience in managing teams, business management, the computer industry, consumer products/electronics industry, sales & support organizations and/or associated disciplines.
o Operations, IT, Customer Service or Sales & Marketing background valued.
o International business and systems experience with an emphasis on Finance and Sales Support is desired.
o An accountancy qualification is extremely valuable for this position
