John Deere Agricultural Equipment Division is seeking a Drivetrain Design Engineer to lead design responsibility for combine drives and power distribution. In this position, you will:
Be responsible for sub system design of the combine drives.
Work with engineering, customers, marketing, supply management and factory production personnel to develop and validate design specification, costs, reliability and performance in the combine drives area.
Develop designs and release engineering drawings and specifications for world wide combine drives.
Assist in virtual builds and prototype builds of designed components.
Travel to field to monitor performance, validate fix and identify improvements of designs.
Education
Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical or agricultural engineering or equivalent experience.
Required Skills and Experience
Strong mechanical aptitude and hands on experience with mechanical equipment.
Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to work can communicate effectively in a team environment.
Ability to identify creative and efficient solutions to technical problems.
Desired Skills and Experience
Pro-e Modeling skills.
Technical knowledge of off road equipment.
