We are Executive Search Consultants currently conducting a search for a major manufacturer of mobile equipment.
Our client is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to perform software design, testing and/or analysis work for a complete project of broad scope or for a significant portion or a sub-system of a major and diverse project. In this position, you will:
Be responsible for developing and improvement of embedded software associated with Self-Propelled Sprayers and their subsystems.
Perform design and analysis activities on new and existing software projects in accordance with established guidelines with respect to the performance, reliability, cost and configuration of these electrical systems.
Develop system requirements and detailed specifications as a result of analyzing customer needs.
Work in a team environment with other engineers and representatives of other functional areas.
Provide ownership in the specification, design, testing and implementation of embedded software and subsystems.
Work with internal and external team members on software development projects.
Use creativity to solve problems in unique/patent worthy ways.
Develop specifications for purchased electrical and electronic components and works with suppliers to meet quality and functional requirements.
Assure appropriate engineering tools such as design reviews, FEA, and FMEA are used to analyze components/systems.
Qualifications
Education
Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
Required Skills and Experience
3+ years experience developing software for real-time machine control systems.
Embedded software development experience using C language.
A good understanding of electronic hardware (schematics and component data sheets, operating meters, oscilloscopes and emulators).
Excellent communication skills - must interface successfully with Engineers and other disciplines.
Ability to be self driven on software development projects.
Desired Skills and Experience
Technical experience relating to design/diagnostics of of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
