John Deere World Headquarters-Moline, Illinois is seeking an Occupational Health Nurse to implement an effective occupational health program. In this position, you will:

Under general direction of facility's physician, has responsibility for implementing an effective occupational health program.

Assists in development and implementation of procedures and programs to comply with regulatory and company standards.

Provides initial assessment of workplace injuries and illnesses and appropriate treatment or referral.

Provides case management for workplace injuries and illnesses to ensure appropriate care to minimize lost time and ensure safe and timely return to work.

Collaborates with occupational and environmental health and safety management to carry out the objectives of the occupational health service.

Directs and supervises the occupational health staff to carry out the objectives of the occupational health service.

Provides case management for injuries and illnesses to ensure appropriate care in order to minimize time away from work and ensure safe and timely return to work.

Provides initial assessment of injuries and illnesses and appropriate treatment or referral to minimize time away from work.

Conducts jobsite visits and ergonomic evaluations and makes recommendations to Safety Department, supervisors and the Ergonomics Committee.

Maintains the accident reporting log (example would be OSHA Log) and reports occupational injuries and illnesses to Safety Department.

Plans and executes programs and reviews policies and procedures for health care and education, accident prevention, and evaluation of the work environment in accordance with overall program guidelines.

Actively participates in meetings with members and/or teams from departments such as Safety, Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Ergonomics, Occupational Health and Safety, and Quality Assurance/Improvement.



Education



Bachelor's Degree, Registered Nurse licensed in Illinois.



Required Skills and Experience



Demonstrated Supervisory experience (1 to 3 years) within Medical/Healthcare field.

Ability to communicate and work with people of all levels effectively.

Ability to administer first aid treatment or evaluate and refer for advanced medical attention as required.



Desired Skills and Experience



Occupational Health nursing experience preferred; secondary preference is 1-3 years of Emergency or Intensive Care nursing experience
Certification in Occupational Health, Case Management, audiometery and spirometry preferred.
