Director of Corporate Marketing
Position Summary
This is the perfect opportunity for the candidate that has a proven track record for leading the corporate marketing efforts for a mid-sized well established software company through the IPO process.
The Director of Corporate Marketing will be responsible for providing senior leadership and management of the Company’s worldwide corporate marketing activities, which include: corporate positioning, corporate communications (PR/AR) programs, and PR firm management. The Director of Corporate Marketing will drive the Company’s efforts to position itself as a revolutionary company in the enterprise software market.
Responsibilities
· Strategic communications planning including developing and communicating corporate positioning, corporate messaging, and communications campaigns
· Oversee execution of Corporate Marketing programs including PR/AR campaigns, and corporate brand-building programs, including various out-sourced agency relationships.
· Integrate Corporate Marketing activities with Marketing Operations programs and Web Marketing to maximize effectiveness of all.
· Collaborate with Investor Relations and executives to ensuring proper company positioning and messaging to investor audiences.
· Develop and manage the Company’s analyst and market research programs, and manage the associated budget for those programs.
· Develop and track metrics and success criteria for all corporate marketing programs and PR/AR campaigns and activities.
· Oversee all global internal communications relating to business activities (i.e. non-human resources communications)
· Define the appropriate corporate marketing organization for the company’s maturity/size.
· Be a role model for the company culture.
· Act as spokesperson for the company with press and analysts and at industry events.
Requirements
· Bachelor’s Degree in Communications/Marketing
· 10 years marketing experience in enterprise software industry.
· Ability to plan and manage at both strategic and operational levels.
· Exceptional track record of developing and implementing Corporate Communications and Marketing strategies that have consistently met or exceeded planned objectives, providing personal leadership through example.
· Ability to work collaboratively with different Marketing functions (Product, Program, Strategic, Web, etc.) to create a results-driven, team- oriented environment.
· Demonstrated ability to manage and/or work with outsourced marketing agencies (PR, Advertising, Branding, etc.)
· Substantial experience working with business and industry press.
· Strong strategic planning and analysis skills in sales, marketing, and business (competitive) strategy.
· Capacity to assume more significant executive responsibilities over time.
· Demonstrated self-motivation and self-discipline to work effectively in a high-paced environment.
