Location: Columbus, OH
Conducts critical risk
assessments, evaluation of controls and liability on legal and regulatory
compliance, financial reporting and operations for assigned business
units.
Provides recommendations for
problem resolution to auditing management and the business unit.
Evaluates total product
delivery process and recommends solutions for risk and liability reduction.
Handle research and development
programs in the business unit to meet the required improvement and risk
reduction of processes, operational methods and controls, while introducing
possible alternatives ranked by
desirability and probability of success.
Conduct comprehensive study of the business unit and provide interpretation and recommendation to management on issues such as planning, operating control, risk and liability scenarios and cost impact
Develop and
implement audit plans and programs to correct or enhance
processes, operations, methods and controls of the business
unit. Assists in the development of policies, guidelines, and procedures
to ensure liability and risk control.
Assists in the development,
implementation, and administration of audit programs relating to
processes, policies, systems, operations, methods and procedures for effective management and control of multiple functions to reduce risk,
liability, and cost and ensure profitability for the business unit.
Leads a team of auditors that assess risk and
controls.
Counsels and advises auditing management on risk
and control issues.
Conduct audits on existing and proposed computer systems
including processing, input/output systems flow, controls and edits, data
storage, and security procedures to identify deficiencies in controls, duplication of effort, or fraud and recommends
corrective actions on problems found.
Leads the examination and
evaluation of accounting records and methods, tax records and tax
payments, reconciliation of company bank accounts and audits of
operational/managerial methods.
Leads the field work on special
and/or confidential studies, surveys and projects related to operation,
financial, and information systems audits.
Coaches and mentors audit team
members for performance and development.
Performs other duties as
assigned.
Must-have Qualifications:
Candidate must be Big 4/Fortune 100 if they are not
local.
4 Year degree required
Will consider candidates from smaller regional firms
Must have operational and systems knowledge and application of audit practices to multiple functional areas
Must have knowledge of project management and motivational theory
Must posses decision-making skills for problem identification and solution recommendation
Must have analytical skills to asses risk and evaluate a variety of operation, financial and systems controls and processes.
Must have PC skills and proven knowledge in related software.
Must have oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
CPA or CIA is strongly preferred
