John Deere Phoenix International - Fargo, North Dakota is seeking a Production Supervisor to plan and assign work; follow schedules and work orders; direct the activity of production employees; give guidance and instruction to insure the department meets all quality standards and delivery schedules at a minimum cost. In this position, you will:
Supervise both direct and indirect production personnel to assure schedules are met in an efficient manner.
Assure workmanship is performed in such a way to assure the highest quality standards are attained.
Follow all safety standards, meeting all State and Federal work standard laws.
Establish and maintain good housekeeping practices that assure a clean manufacturing facility.
Lead continuous improvement activities for improvement in department processes and cost reduction.
Assure labor and production reporting is accurate.
Utilize good interpersonal relationship skills that promote high employee morale.
Support the efforts of a preventative maintenance program assuring all preventative maintenance tasks are performed as set out in the maintenance program.
Perform employee performance reviews as required by company policy.
Maintain required personnel records for attendance, safety, payroll, and others as required.
Build a strong team relationship with the Production Team.
Represent the Production team in a professional and positive manner.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
Six Sigma certification preferred.
Required Skills and Experience
Must be willing to work a variety of shifts and overtime as required.
Demonstrated leadership skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Manufacturing and/or operations experience.
MS Office skills (Excel, Word).
Desired Skills and Experience
Previous supervisory experience.
Electronics manufacturing experience.
Lean manufacturing experience.
Understanding of continuous improvement methodology.
Experience with Deere Production Systems or other formal production systems.
