Position : Sr. Facilities Construction Project Manager

Description :



As our Construction Project Manager, you'll manage the planning and execution of Corporate Administration Services construction projects, including schematic concept planning, budget and schedule development, value engineering, architectural documentation and construction management. You'll prepare and manage the Construction and Development work plan for each project and will be responsible for reviewing architectural/engineering plans, assisting in RFP preparations and GC/vendor selection, site visits, managing progress of GC/sub-contractors, reporting project progress, negotiate change order process, ensuring timely paperwork/payment processing, developing/completing punch lists, signing off on project completion, etc. You'll assist in developing and managing capital budgets and schedules and participate in a value engineering process to ensure projects are accomplished within budget and efficient. You'll also manage project vendors (GC and subcontractors) to ensure the project is progressing according to schedule and assist in managing all outside architectural, construction, engineering, cost estimation, project management and other vendor services. You'll manage/participate in an RFP process to select architects, contractors and other vendors and manage projects from conception to completion through local Building Department review and permitting processes. This opportunity also involves minimizing cost and aesthetic impacts to projects by effectively using your knowledge of building codes at the Land Use, Design Review, Plan Review and Building Inspection phases. In addition, you'll manage, lead and document meetings with local agencies.

Requirements for the position include:

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Facilities Management or a closely related field
5 years' experience in construction management, including managing contractors, architects and vendors
2 years' additional experience in lieu of a degree
Proven ability to manage multiple construction projects on an ongoing basis
Understanding of architectural/construction drawings and contracts
Experience working with financial reports and creating and managing capitol budgets
Knowledge of building structure, including mechanical, electrical and materials
Strong proficiency with MS Excel and Word
Strong negotiation skills
Working knowledge of MS PowerPoint, MS Project and AutoCAD is highly preferred
10+ years' Architectural Design/Construction experience is preferred
Experience with Real Estate Leasing is preferred
