Immediate requirements exist forpre and post sales software engineers /consultants for the Mark Logic federal technical team in the greater Washington, DC metropolitan area.

Mark Logic Technology for Government
Defense, intelligence, and law enforcement agencies collect a tremendous volume of raw data. For these agencies, the fast, accurate analysis of this raw data to produce actionable intelligence is vital to their national security missions. With the increasing flow of textual content – emails, field reports, immigration records, open source content streams, Web content, and the like – government agencies are forced to reevaluate their analysis strategies. Position Information
-An active DOD security clearance at a Top Secret or higher level is highly desirable but not mandatory for every available positions.
-Functional areas: Consulting & Sales Engineering
-Location: Candidates should reside in the greater NOVA/DC metropolitan area and be able to support client engagements throughout the region.
-Technical Requirements: Significant software engineering and development skills in one or more of the following areas is required: Object Oriented Programming & Design, C, C++, Java, J2EE, SQL, XML, .Net, Internet Scripting languages
Position Descriptions:
Sales Engineer- Mark Logic is seeking federal sales consultants who have experience with innovative new technologies. The sales consultant will assist throughout the pre and post sales process to qualify opportunities, explore and document customer requirements, prototype and deliver custom product demonstrations, perform performance benchmarks, and to develop long-term relationships with the customer to position Mark Logic as a true technology partner. The sales consultant will also assist in the execution and management of projects for Mark Logic’s clients and for ensuring customer satisfaction in all aspects of every engagement.
Working with sales throughout the sales cycle. Thisincludes conference calls, site visits, presentations, technical evaluations,objection handling, proposals, and follow up on customer issues.
Working closely with Professional Services toproperly define and scope services.
Overseeing the customer proposal process and ensuring that all technical information and recommendations address customer requirements.
