* To provide input to Site Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager and/or site management on EHS issues, specifically compliance with site Title V Permit and CAA requirements as defined in State and Federal Regulations applicable to facility sources.
* To initiate and influence integration of EHS policies and practices into the business.
* Implementation/modification EHS programs and procedures to ensure company compliance.
* Critically evaluate draft Title V renewal permit and collaborate with NYSDEC to obtain maximum operational flexibility in final permit.
* Maintain an in-depth knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements.
* Modify and implement compliance tracking programs and record keeping systems.
* Develop and work with site operations team focused on EHS program development, implementation and improvement.
* Measure progress toward successfully meeting corporate expectations.
* Manage function-related costs across site.
* Integrate EHS function with site operations.
* Complete reporting as required by site Title V Permit, including, but not limited to Annual Emissions Inventories, Compliance Certifications and NSPS Boiler Reports.
* Manage and conduct visible emissions monitoring for multiple permitted emission points.
* Manage source testing as required by site Title V Permit.
* Review process changes and new projects for CAA applicability, including NSR.
* Maintain compliance with facility HAP emissions limits through integration with operations personnel and use of web based documentation tool.
* Manage new NESHAP/MACT requirements for affected facility sources (as applicable).
* Lead site Greenhouse Gas Reduction project tracking
Qualifications
* B.S. or equivalent in related science/engineering.
* Experience with exposure to several EHS areas in a manufacturing environment.
* Experience in managing air compliance program (Title V preferred)
* Strong interpersonal skills.
* Ability to interface effectively with all levels within the company as well as organizations outside GE (regulatory agencies).
* Effective project management skills
