John Deere’s Agriculture Marketing Center (JDAMC), in Lenexa, Kansas is seeking a Marketing Accountant to perform calculations and analysis, reconciliations, verifications, and postings while ensuring accuracy and validity in the accounting processes. In this position, you will:
Serve as the accounting point of contact for three sales branches located throughout the United States.
Be responsible for the preparation of the monthly salary payroll and vacation forecasts; upload of the JDAMC overhead forecast.
Prepare various daily, monthly, quarterly, or annual financial reports, statements, or exhibits.
Gather, review, and analyze financial information.
Make necessary corrections and/or adjustments to receive accurate report information.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance required.
Required Skills and Experience
2+ years of experience in multiple areas of accounting, finance or audit.
Proficient in MS Office advanced Excel skills (specifically utilizing complex Microsoft Excel functions and formulas.
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or equivalent.
Knowledge of accounting systems and policies.
High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Understand the integrated systems of internal control and the relationship to disclosure and financial reporting
Understanding of financial concepts such as Budgets, Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), Return on Investment (ROI), Operating Return on Assets (OROA), Shareholder Value Added (SVA), etc.
Desired Skills and Experience
Experience using SAP FI/CO.
Knowledge of sales branch operations and budgets.
