HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST Employee Relations - Newark, NJ - To qualify, you need a bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience in HR Management with a focus on employee relations and exposure to labor relations. Ability to research/analyze various types of data, resolve problems, apply and communicate HR policies, practices, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations will be expected. Superior analytical, organizational, negotiation and oral/written communication skills are essential, as is full PC proficiency with MS Office Suite. PHR/SPHR Certification preferred. Support the efforts of our management team in coordinating both labor/union and non labor/union policies, monitoring and ensuring adherence to all contract provisions, and acting as a representative of the organization during negotiating sessions. Responsibilities include: investigating, answering and settling grievances, scheduling hearings, participating in arbitrations, interpreting labor agreements, and monitoring the day-to-day implementation of policies. In addition, you will provide objective coaching to employees/managers, respond to a variety of employee relations issues, and handle other related duties as assigned.
