Job Description:
The Media Pipeline team within TiVo's Client Software group is responsible for the development and integration of TiVo's core media pipeline software. We are looking for a talented systems software developer to join our team.
Here is what you get to do:
Implement and debug media pipeline software
Work cross functionally with other TiVo's software teams to develop, debug and maintain core media pipeline software
Implement and troubleshoot MPEG trick play modes
Work with various hardware graphic architectures
Here is what you need to be successful :
Minimum 4-5 years experience as a systems software developer
Strong C programming skills; conversant in C++
MPEG media pipeline knowledge and experience
MPEG transport stream, program stream and/or PES stream syntax
Knowledge of audio/video synchronization
Linux Driver development and troubleshooting
Multi-threaded programming
BS in EE, CS or similar technical discipline
These desired skills will really get you noticed:
Experience with media pipeline architectures such as DirectShow
AVC, WMV, WMA and/or VC-1
Experience with various hardware graphics architectures
Media transmission standards such as ATSC and SCTE
MPEG video encoding quality issues
Experience with DVI, HDMI and HDCP
Dolby audio standards and certifications
Macrovision and other copy protection standards
CableCARD and other cable industry technologies
Conditional access technologies
