Description :
This position is responsible for creating and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, member’s capital statements, and reporting packages for assigned properties. Requires thorough knowledge of commercial accounting methods, principles and practices with the ability to apply this knowledge.
Job Duties:
Review and reconcile property accounts payable, subsidiary ledgers and control accounts. Review related vendor invoices and property receipts for assigned properties.
Review commercial management reports to be specified and tie the reports to the general ledger.
Prepare bank reconciliations for assigned properties.
Review and prepare inter-company loan entries.
Prepare calculation for amortization and depreciation of assets and preferred return calculations.
Create and post monthly journal entries for mortgage loans, property tax and insurance; review ending prepaid and accrued accounts to supporting schedules.
Assist property managers in the monthly budget variance analysis and cash flow re-project process for operating expenses. Monthly meeting with Real Estate Managers to propose expense reforecast based on actual and budget and tenant assumption inputs. Review reserves to capital spending.
Calculate and prepare weekly ACH; monthly distributions and mortgage wires. Prepare quarterly distribution checks and wires for owners.
Prepare and review of the CAM expense & property tax portion of the reconciliations and estimates for assigned properties. Prepare property tax recovery billings.
Assist with Internal and external audits and tax packages preparation.
Track and record in-house leasing commissions and construction management fees.
Assist in annual budget preparations.
Special projects and other assignments as requested.

Basic Skills & Experience Required For The Position:
College degree preferred but not required
3-6 years of experience
Experience in commercial property management accounting a plus
Excellent Oral and Written Skills
Excellent project management Skills
Working knowledge of legal language in Commercial Leases
