Explanation Statement
The John Deere Finance Division, in Moline, IL, is seeking a Payroll Analyst to perform payroll functions, such as investigating/resolving discrepancies and processing special pay situations to provide accurate and timely wages and salaries to employees. In this position, you will:
Run, reconcile and balance payrolls.
Analyze data for payroll discrepancies.
Investigate & resolve the most complex payroll discrepancies such as those that require follow-up outside of the department.
Process special pay situations that include running various programs and auditing the program output.
Analyze legal and contractual documents related to payroll issues such as garnishments.
Provide answers to the most complex payroll questions after analyzing the problem or situation.
Prepare information for outside parties such as calculation of lost wages for worker's compensation and Quarterly Supplemental Unemployment audit.
Education
Degree in an Accounting/Finance discipline or equivalent relevant experience.
Required Skills and Experience
High level of attention to detail and accuracy within required deadlines.
Strong interpersonal communications, negotiation, teamwork and conflict resolution skills.
Knowledge of payroll programs and payroll contractual language.
Experience with Host applications, such as TSO (Time Sharing Option), RMDS (Report Management Distribution System), and/or JCL (Job Control Language).
Experience using Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Understanding of Accounting fundamentals, such as debits, credits, accounts receivable, accounts payable, etc.
Desired Skills and Experience
Experience with the John Deere Employee Compensation System.
