John Deere Waterloo Works is seeking a Field Service Representative to support and resolve 6000 and 7000 Series Tractor product issues. In this position, you will:
Support and assist dealership and branch personnel to define and resolve product issues thru the Dealership Technical Assistance Center (DTAC) and field visits.
Maintain DTAC database with product issue solutions, update existing solutions to better meet user needs and initiate written technical communications.
Provide feedback to Service Publications in regard to review of new tractor program information and the need for revision of currently published information.
Notify field teams when DTAC cases have multiple callbacks with minimal progress being made; work with sales branch personnel to resolve customer complaints when dealer resolution cannot be achieved and notify sales branch when dealer development is needed.
Respond to branch personnel requests for guidance in regard to warranty interpretation and/or Special Allowance participation.
Support Engineering in resolving product issues; investigate and define product problems in the field through the Corrective Action ( NCCA) system.
Support manufacturing through problem resolution and quality improvement teams; participate in continuous improvement design reviews and new program reviews.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in a Business/Management, Technology, Mechanical or Ag Engineering discipline highly preferred or equivalent technical field experience combined with education.
Required Skills and Experience
Technical or mechanical experience/aptitude with heavy equipment, farm machinery or automotive equipment.
Ability to read blueprints.
Excellent interpersonal communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Willing to travel up to 20%.
Experience working in a team environment.
Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel) and internet applications.
Strong writing skills, including business correspondence.
Desired Skills and Experience
Knowledge of the John Deere DTAC application.
Technical or sales experience at an equipment dealership or branch.
Technical knowledge of tractor operation, repair and diagnostic procedures.
Experience providing training or teaching technical subjects.
Experience working on a farm or a farming background.
