John Deere Waterloo Foundry is seeking a Variable Shift Maintenance Supervisor to support maintenance and production. In this position, you will:

Assign and monitor work to accomplish project and repair projects.
Assist in troubleshooting equipment and process problems.
Instruct and coach employees to improve problem analysis skills.
Monitor and participate in activities to improve operational availability for assigned departments.
Manage PM execution to achieve completion and performance goals.
Develop, track, and meet capital and expense budget for their area of responsibility.
Develop and plan maintenance of equipment and facilities to maximize uptime and capital utilization.
Communicate and coordinate activities with management, production, maintenance, process engineers, wage personnel, and outside suppliers.



Education

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or equivalent experience.



Required Skills and Experience

Experience in electrical systems installation or maintenance in industrial or construction environment.
Leadership capability and project management skills.
Good communication and teamwork.
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills on automated equipment.
Good computer skills and proficient with MS Office.



Desired Skills and Experience

Technical skills or work experience in industrial control system design, communication bus interfaces, wireless communications, and induction heating or melting.
Process and machine troubleshooting on PLC and hardwired control systems.
Understanding of processes and equipment related to the melt casting industry.
Technical experience with design/diagnostics of mechanical/electrical/hydraulic systems.
Control system design experience using PLCs and HMIs.
Understanding of AC and DC coordinated drive systems.
