The Windows Mobile Information Worker Solutions team is looking for a strong developer who is passionate about the next wave of Windows Mobile devices for the business power users.

Windows Mobile Information Worker solutions team is working on V1 products to realize the vision of making mobile devices the first class citizen for business, all the way from enterprise, to mid market, and down to small business. We are building a full range of device management, security management, and network access products (client and server). Mobile devices, as the client platforms, play an important role to improve the productivity and the user experience for the business users. Providing a secure, reliable, and integrated experience for the business users through partnerships with OEMs, MOs, and ISVs is a critical strategic initiative for the success of the products that we are building.

MIWS JDP/Health team is looking for a dev lead to lead 4-5 developers to assist OEMs, MOs, ISVs, customers with improving the quality and putting the latest Windows Mobile technologies into both new and existing devices. We are looking for a passionate, smart, and motivated candidate with good heart for people, great development, problem solving, and debugging skills, who is ready to meet the highest standard of engineering excellence and people excellence.

This job will involve a variety of tasks, including collaborating with other development teams to assess/debug device health and performance, investigating issues that are related to end to end integration with partners such as OEMs and MOs, assisting new OEMs with manageability feature bring-up for business devices, managing & coaching developers in OEM/JDP teams. Job requirements include great people management record, excellent collaboration skills, strong communications/customer interfacing skills, and problem solving and analyzing skills. Experience with Windows Mobile is highly valued, but not required.

Responsibilities include:
1) Staffing and managing team
2) leading the team to troubleshoot mission critical problems encountered with new OEM devices or from customers
3) Assisting OEMs with management features and requirements
4) Analyzing health, performance, and stability issues on devices
5) Collaborate with other internal Microsoft teams to find solutions to complex, challenging issues

Qualifications are:
1) 8+ years commercial software experience with at least one full product release cycle.
2) 2+ years people management experience.
3) Excellent communication and collaboration skills; must be a strong leader with a constructive perspective and committed to the success of the group
4) Motivated to work with partners and customers to provide solutions for real world problems
5) Passionate about raising the bar on the quality of the product
6) Domain knowledge on Windows Mobile or embedded space preferred
