Position Description
This individual will perform and lead military operational effectiveness analyses for weapon systems and aircraft. Analyses will address weapon system capabilities, effects, and requirements for a range of engagement, mission, campaign, and system-of-system level applications. The individual will be expected to plan, lead, and conduct such analyses given general direction. The individual will be responsible for direct interface with design personnel and government customers in order to identify and shape the requirements of future systems. Additionally, the individual will develop operational analysis training materials, operations analysis tools and processes, and train junior analysts in these areas as needed. Extensive experience in the planning, leadership, and performance of organized military operational analyses is required, including first-hand knowledge of analysis in the areas of campaign/force-structure effectiveness, mission/tactics effectiveness, air-to-air engagements, surface-to-air engagements, platform detectability (Infrared (IR) and Radar Frequency (RF)), countermeasures, and weapons lethality. The individual should be familiar with large-scale/strategic as well as tactical military operational concepts and interactions. Demonstrated knowledge of the operations of current military aircraft and weapon systems is required. Expertise in one or more widely used operations analysis tool is required.

ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Level 6 - Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry and typically 20 years experience in an engineering classification or either a Master's degree with 18 years' experience or a PhD degree with a minimum of 15 years experience in an engineering classification. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
