We have an outstanding opportunity for a Senior Account Executive - Medical, based in our New York office.
The main focus of responsibility will be to promote McGraw-Hill Professional's Medical publishing suite including such prestigious names Harrison’s, Hurst’s and Lange. Other professional markets include: clinical facilities and corporate accounts.
Essential Accountabilities:
Embrace the development of solutions focused on individual customer requirements while building long-term customer partnerships.
Service and build business with new and existing customers in order to meet assigned quotas.
Understand customers’ work processes to identify product solutions tailored for training and premium opportunities.
Build relationships with multiple levels of management, including “C” level contacts.
Work closely with the McGraw-Hill Professional editorial and marketing staff to uncover new opportunities to increase customer value and maximize revenue opportunity.
Sales and/or marketing experience in Medical publishing
Eight years inside sales experience, in addition to three years of outside sales experience
Experience managing at least $500,000.00 of business annually
Strategic planning and negotiating skills balanced with day-to-day management of current business
Effective writing and professional sales presentation skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and database management
Ability to seek out and identify new business, and determine and meet the sales, marketing and editorial requirements of these accounts
Experience in negotiating special pricing and discounting as necessary
