ACES GAMES STUDIO - CONTENT RESEARCH & SPECIFICATION ARTIST:
Do you have an interest in real world simulations? Do you possess expertise in aircraft and railroad knowledge? ACES Studio, creators of Flight Simulator, Train Simulator and Microsoft ESP, has an exciting opportunity for a qualified artist who is a subject matter expert in railway and aircraft based environments and vehicles. Our candidate will work directly with the environment and vehicle leads and be responsible for creating content specifications for internal and external production teams.
Requirements:
Extensive subject matter knowledge in railways, airports, aircraft and trains.
Excellent organizational skills, understanding of asset management and pre-production workflows
In-depth knowledge of 3D Studio Max and Photoshop
Understanding of 3D Canvas or Softimage XSI Mod Tool a plus
In-depth understanding of game asset creation and production methods
Ability to communicate detailed plans both verbally and in writing to technical and non technical people.
Ability to understand proprietary toolsets and apply knowledge directly
BA/BS from an accredited school in Fine Art, Digital Media or Computer Science
Responsibilities:
Proactively research environments and vehicles for content creation specifications
Prototype assets for external production
Work with Environment Art Lead and Vehicle Art Lead as a subject matter expert.
Write technical evaluations of art produced by external companies
Assist program manager and test team in creation of technical feature specs
