Our client, a Los Angeles-based systems integration firm with a strong track record in building infrastructure and knowledge management solutions for SMB, Fortune 1000, and government accounts, needs an exceptional sales consultant to help grow our professional and technical service practices.
We are seeking an experienced Account Manager who has a passion for achievement, growth, and customer satisfaction. The Account Manager will be representing the capabilities of our highly-skilled consulting teams, which include experts in infrastructure solutions, managed services, document management and workflow. Our strategic partners include Microsoft, Open Text, Cisco, HP, and leading industry vendors of managed services, image capture, compliance, and knowledge management technologies.
This is a position for an entrepreneurial sales professional who is already selling technology solutions and services into medium and large corporate accounts and is ready to move into the rapidly growing markets for managed services, document management, compliance, and collaboration. Our preference is for a candidate who has past experience with a leading solutions-oriented sales organization.
The successful candidate will bring to the position operational experience developing long-term customer relationships, a track record of customer satisfaction, and a high degree of maturity, professionalism and flexibility. Strong analytical skills as well as creativity and initiative are essential.
Our Account Manager’s responsibilities include acquiring and qualifying prospects; developing a thorough understanding of a prospect's business requirements, challenges, and opportunities; planning and managing the sales process; analyzing and structuring business solutions; building effective and compelling presentations and proposals; and ensuring that client expectations are properly set and met.
Requirements for this position include the following:
· Five + years experience selling technology solutions and services to small, mid-sized, and Fortune 1000 clients.
· Proven and consistent achievement of goals, including a track record of dependable revenue production, and building as well as maintaining customer relationships.
· Skills to acquire and grow the client relationship at senior management levels.
· Familiarity with current directions in Web and IT technologies.
· Superior verbal and written communication skills, including formal presentation skills.
· Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
· Ability to effectively organize and manage time.
· A talent for problem solving and creative design of business solutions.
· Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
A Bachelor’s degree and vertical market experience in manufacturing, financial services, biotech, or government are desirable. Experience analyzing business problems and ROI for technology solutions would also be a benefit.
Our client offers a highly competitive compensation plan that rewards productivity and profitability. Year one base salary and commission fall in the $100 K range at quota. Our benefits package includes participation in our Employee Stock Ownership Plan.
