THE JOB OPPORTUNITY:

THE JOB SUMMARY:
This person will be key to helping the Senior Vice President of Finance develop the strategies and processes necessary for managing the growth of the business as well as providing the necessary financial performance measures to assess the progress of the business.
This individual must be able to perform and enjoy both the management and individual contributor roles of the position. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Finance, this individual will make a significant contribution to the operational efficiency and productivity of the Company.
WE OFFER THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
· Manage day to day accounting functions including; billing, collections, payables, payroll, tax reporting, GAAP accounting;
· Complete month end financial closing process in a timely manner
· Produce monthly financial statements and reports
· Compare actual results to forecasts and development of variance explanations
· Ensure successful results for all audits
· Direct continuous improvement in the effectiveness and efficiency of accounting function
· Develop and train accounting staff
· Manage effective communication between the finance and accounting function of Corporate Headquarters and Burns & Wilcox offices
· Partner with a service-oriented corporate headquarters team
· Play a key leadership role in the dynamic growth of a highly successful and consistently profitable company
WE EXPECT THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE TO:
· Be expert in GAAP accounting
· Have experience in a dispersed organization
· Have strategic finance and planning experience
· Have excellent written and oral presentation skills
· Be able to interact collaboratively with Corporate Headquarters and Burns & Wilcox offices
· Develop and manage an effective and efficient finance/accounting team
QUALIFICATIONS
Certified Public Accountant
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
15+ years of experience preferably in a management position in insurance or financial services
Internal Auditing experience preferred
