John Deere Agri-Services is seeking an Agronomy and GIS Technical Support Analyst to prioritize customer problems and research solutions as it pertains to the agronomy and GIS software. In this position, you will:
Provide advanced agronomy support for AgroGuide and other precision software packages through various channels: phone, email, chat, forums.
Author and enter documentation on complex agronomy issues and solutions into an issue tracking database.
Submit articles to solve “how-to” issues using precision software based on daily contact with customers and business partners.
Provide software & agronomy/precision/GIS training and guidance to less experienced team members.
Travel to the field to provide agronomy/precision/GIS problem resolution.
Provide testing results and feedback to software development and Quality Assurance teams.
Participate in problem solving teams and provide advanced research in agronomy/precision/GIS for application processes or product development programs.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in a Business/Management, Accounting, Agronomic or Ag Science discipline highly preferred or equivalent education and work experience.
Required Skills and Experience
Outstanding customer service skills.
Previous training and/or product support experience.
Demonstrated ability to manage a project with multiple resources.
Excellent multi-task abilities, able to prioritize accordingly.
Good presentation skills; comfortable presenting to small groups as well as one-on-one.
Strong interpersonal communications, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Willing and able to travel up to 10%.
General knowledge of agriculture and precision agricultural industries.
General knowledge of precision/GIS software's and controllers.
Desired Skills and Experience
Working knowledge of precision ag operations with emphasis on the GIS- to-field technologies.
AGRIS / John Deere Agri Services Business Management Suite software product knowledge.
Working knowledge of one or more of the following: Agris V9, AgroGuide, oneWeigh.
