John Deere Credit was founded to offer financing solutions to the industries we serve and the customers we know best. In addition to providing retail, wholesale and lease financing to help customers buy John Deere equipment, we also serve the broader needs of the agricultural industry by offering revolving credit, input and operating loans to help farmers purchase needed supplies and services. John Deere Credit is looking for a Credit Analyst to review and analyze credit applications for acceptance or denial pertaining to revolving finance products, notes and/or leases following the credit guidelines, policies and procedures established by the Company. This position will also evaluate financial statements to approve or deny credit and make recommendations on acceptance when credit limit is above authority level.
Position Responsibilities: Under minimal supervision, reviews and analyzes credit applications for acceptance or denial pertaining to revolving finance products, notes and/or leases following the credit guidelines, policies and procedures established by the Company. Evaluates financial statements to approve or deny credit. Makes recommendations on acceptance when credit limit is above authority level.
Evaluates financial statements and other customer information to approve or deny routine revolving finance products, retail notes and/or leases according to guidelines, policies and procedures established by the Company including communication of decision to dealer/merchants/customers.
Markets and promotes use of sales finance products and counsels dealers/ merchants on new marketing and/or product programs.
May review and authorize additional transactions against customer's current credit limit in order to maintain and improve overall performance of portfolio.
Develops and maintains business relationships with dealers/merchants, Area Sales Managers and others specific to position.
Assists with solving problems, answering questions, and counseling dealers/merchants with completing financial documentation and may occasionally help with collections.
Skills
Understanding of financial statements, cash flow and key financial ratios.
Ability to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and intranet and internet functions.
Knowledge of the construction and forestry market helpful.
Credit acceptance or related experience.
Experience working with customer service or related customer-oriented environment.
Ability to perform telephone work plus the capacity to quickly change focus on work activities.
Understanding of financial statements, cash flow and key financial ratios.
Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office plus intranet and internet functions.

Knowledge of appropriate industry
Education
Degree in a Business / Management discipline or equivalent experience.
