McGraw-Hill Professional has an immediate opening for an Online Marketing Manager , based in ourNew York office.
The Online Marketing Manager will support the overall online and direct marketing initiatives including project management, online development, website modification, maintenance and email marketing. This position interacts directly with internal marketing and technology groups, as well as external vendors. The role will address the interest of both domestic and international online marketing needs.
• Direct marketing - Implement email and other promotional campaigns as well as manage overall strategy. Assist in the development of HTML templates as needed, oversee quality control, and assist with the administration and training of email campaign management software.
• Assist in developing strategic direction for online marketing based on analysis of web traffic and sales.
• Assist in SEO/SEM for both organic and paid search including strategy, implementation, and reporting.
• Project manages and implements Online Marketing initiatives. Communicates progress and status with project owners (Marketing Managers and Directors). Maintain project control and tracking for assignments. Communicate problems as necessary.
1-2 years experience managing web project/sites.
Familiarization with industry standard web analytics packages.
Experience managing and developing online marketing programs, banners and email lists.
Experience optimizing sites for search engine indexing, and increasing search referral conversion rates.
Exposure to web site creation including content management and programming.
Excellent organizational skills. Creativity, attention to detail, and ability to ensure quality of a product are a must.
Excellent written and oral communication skills and proficiency in the English Language.
Team player a must
Familiarity and experience with photo/image editing applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc)
Familiarity with rich media applications (Flash, etc), design, and best practices a plus.
Design or creative development and advertising copywriting.
Experience with project management software a plus.
Some MySQL preferred but not required.
